    Stocks

Anyone here involved in the stock market? I've got my personal account on sharebuilder.com, a 401k and just opened a new account with scottrade.com. I have to say that sharebuilder.com looks a lot nicer but scottrade ofters a lot more options. I'm thinking about investing in some penny accounts or doing day trading. Any experts on here?

I really think the stock market goes on what you will be willing to lose. I mean, to really get a lot out of the market, which it isnt doing so hot... More$. But hell, its just a gamble. Your odds? 1% Make money, 1% Break-Even, 98% Lose it.

If you no what you are doing your odds are a lot better than that. I've seen guys with 80% win and only 20% loose. Secondly, you don't need to have all of your monies in one stock, that is were you will loose (or gain). Keep them diversified. Stay away from Penny Stocks.

Ooo, Lop actually knows what hes talking about. Penny stocks, like my bull-crap eura peru (gold) are very risky, and EXTREMLY longterm investments. My portfolio is in the TSX and NASDA, with two trust funds in CIBC. Eh, in US, about...$420 000. The funds dont give exact numbers, just est. Omg, I made $2000 when Microsoft handed out the divided last year.

Yep. Mainly in capital, we have a painting collection worth about 2 million CAN, five or take a couple thousand. We'ed never sell it though, its been in the family for generations.
