More than one Payment Method

I've read several times that you shouldn't "keep all of your eggs in one basket" meaning that (for website) you shouldn't just use one method of payment.

I only use AdSense so if google ever cancelled me I would be in the whole which I have also read happens often. What other ads do you guys use that brings money?

Wouldn't having competing ads hurt your chance of earning money?

This isn't a bad idea. I've heard of several people loosing their entire website income because they were collecting from only one ad agency.

No, I don't think this would be competing because you would have different ads/links.

Besides Google there is Yahoo's ads. Also there is adengage, adbrite, 7search and many more
