So Lately I've been searching for something to blog about, and it finally hit me! "Why not tell everyone about my favorite Google Chrome extensions," I thought, thus this post was made! So lets get started.

3. Adthwart

The reason I chose adthwart as my third favorite Chrome extension, is because it does an amazing job of blocking ads. I probably would have rated it higher on the list, if I actually noticed the work it does. It does that good of a job! It totally erases most, if not all, of the ads on a website, and doesn't leave a trail behind saying "there was an ad here but we blocked it." Its very effective, and makes browsing the web that much easier.

2. 1-ClickWeather for Chrome

The reason I chose the 1-click weather extension as my second favorite is mostly because of accessibility. If I want to know the temperature, click, ohh hey it's 81 out side. If I need to see the chance of precipitation, click, just 20%. It's by no means a big deal, but it gets you the information you want, without going to a weather website, or watching your local station. And the bast part is, for the most part it's very accurate!

1. Google Mail Checker Plus

The reason this is my favorite extension is because it's so helpful! It's probably the single thing I use the most while surfing the web. It gives my access to my mail, when I get it. When someone replies to a post I made, or theres news from another website I subscribed to, all I do it click on the little extension pic. and hit the link in the email. All while not going to my actual G-mail page. It may sound like a small thing, but the accessibility you get with it, is amazing!

So I hope I was able to show you a few extensions you might not have known about before. May your web browsing be more effective and smooth with the use of these amazing little gems. So lets here about your favorite extensions and add-ons.

Thanks for reading!

    Thanks for sharing.

Why are you not choose WOT in your top three Chrome extensions? This is my favorite extension to all browser (except Opera) in my computer. And Docs PDF/PowerPoint Viewer is also good one i think.

I hadn't used WOT before, but I just downloaded it. It looks like a great little extension. I probably would get the pdf viewer, but I don't think I use pdf's or powerpoints enough. Thanks for the feedback and thanks for reading!

Awesome, I'm glad the Chromium devs started to add good enough support for plugin(addon) developers to do their thing. I wonder if many addons hinder the speed of Chrome..

I think alot of addons does slow Chrome down a bit, but I would stay it still has great performance. One of the cool parts about Chrome is that each tab kinda has its own browser, so lets say one page stops responding, or another shuts down. All you need to do is exit the tab. Chrome as a whole doesn't shut down, just an occasional tab.

Just as a side note... I know there are a few pages that need to be run on IE but there is a extension that can run those pages from Chrome. Just thought that was cool

    Thanks for the comment Null

Firefox 4.x (Beta is already out) should allow plugin containers to crash without taking down the browser with it (without the need for one thread per tab). Mwahaha!

I've never actually tried Google Chrome before... I'm not even fussed which browser I use rly as long as I can access my emails n shiz.

Chrome compiles JS with the v8 Engine, which could theorietically improve your webmail browsing speeds. Just pointing that out.

I don't really care for a few milliseconds to be honest, my emails aren't that exciting that I'll tear my eyeballs out of their sockets if I don't reach them within half a second... theoretically...

Anyway, I'm going to download Google Chrome now and try it out!

:@ Edit never works on blogs now...
Every time I see the Google Chrome icon it reminds me of a Pokeball, haha.
Also it looks sleek, like the top bit, it's not chunky like Firefox. I have tonnes of bookmarks so I don't like how it's a drop down menu and I can't middle-click to open several tabs at once, um... not sure if that can be fixed though, maybe there's an add-on that fixes that.
Ah.. yeah I guess I'll have to use Google Chrome way more than a few minutes, that only gives me some initial verdicts that aren't really important anyway.

Omg TV Chrome browser extension.. *DOWNLOAD*
...LOL removing that now, all I get on NZTV is Shine TV (The Jesus channel), parliament TV and the weather!

Remember chrome is fairly new, I've clocked many more hours on the beta than the release candidate in recent months, it's a good browser and really innovated some portions of how web browsers work, that Firefox and others will begin to use. Firefox 4.0 (it's beta now) will have a sleaker frame:

note that the tabs are like google's (up top).

I downloaded the smooth gestures extension so when I want to open a new tab I can right click and draw a straight line going up. The gestures are kind of cool
