My assistant has been on the phone all morning, trying to get through to the state's Medicaid technical support staff, only to be greeted with a busy signal every time.

We arrived here after a long day yesterday, in which we discovered the state had pushed out an update to their Medicaid billing software over the weekend. Yes, over the Dec. 30-Jan. 1 weekend. The same weekend when nobody was at work. When we arrive back on Monday, we find that we cannot bill for any of our services ...

  3. Thoughts on declarative programming

    by , 01-03-2012 at 06:34 AM
Hello again. I'm making this post from Lynx, per my decision to move to the command-line (detailed in my last blog post). I've never posted an entire blog in Lynx, and I'm still trying to get the hang of it, so the formatting might come out kind of funny.

Mind you, I'm already a command-line junkie and use the terminal every day. But now I'm taking it a step further; I plan to start using the CLI almost exclusively, only using the GUI for things that are inherently graphical.

Now why would one want ...

Today, (5minutes ago) I did something I don't do so often: I solven a problem that I've been working on for the last past month.

If you are currently at school, don't give up, school ...
