5 Interesting Blogs for PHP Developers

Some of you might have seen my previous thread (here) that was asking for some RSS resources that we can possibly add to CODECALL. It's still not too late to respond to that, but I decided to do some looking around myself. And since my most recent language is PHP, that's where I started.

Like most of our languages here on CC, PHP programming provides an exciting and constantly improving programming language that requires some time to keep up with all of the latest trends. Staying on top of a couple of PHP blogs helps to ensure you stay up-to-date and connected to the world of PHP Programming.

So, here is the list:

1) Lorna Jane: (http://www.lornajane.net/)
Lorna Jane provides regular tips through her blog, as well as podcasts, articles and talks related to PHP programming. Her blog posts focus on training, tips for effective coding and discussions of her latest talks.

2) David Walsh: (http://davidwalsh.name/)
David Walsh works as a web developer for Mozilla and provides blog posts on topics related to programming, and specifically issues dealing with PHP. He has an active Facebook following and deals with issues related to programming including CSS, Javascript and HTML5 as well as PHP.

3) PHPDeveloper.org: (http://phpdeveloper.org/)
Chris Cornutt provides posts about recent events and notable achievements in PHP programming. Through a combination of analysis and helpful programming tips, he maintains one of the industry's most respected blogs for PHP advice and tips.

4) Chris Shiflett: (http://shiflett.org/)
Chris Shiflett focuses on PHP, AJAX and Open Source programming topics. The blog typically updates at least once a month with interesting tips and articles of interest to PHP programmers. He also maintains an active Twitter page with well over 7,500 followers as of August 2012.

5) Stuart Herbert: (http://blog.stuartherbert.com/php/)
For those looking for tips on how to improve their code or writing tests, Stuary Herbert's blog is the place to go. Posts are typically updated biweekly and provide information on coding techniques, industry information and best practices.
