Default Coldfusion is useless
From what I've seen, Coldfusion is useless. It's less efficient and more complicated than the other languages, and doesn't have as much applicability. Didn't Macromedia develop Coldfusion?

Yes they did but I think Adobe have taken over now.
Its not useless if you know how to use it, like anything really.

I have given it a try but its so confusing and complicated. Its not realy worth going through the trouble of learning it.

I think it is useless only because I've never used it. It is useless to me (because I can't use it!!!).

Cold Fusion is a lot like XML.

Another "thing" to have to worry about knowing about.
XML is nice because it has been integrated in with so many other products, but it seems like it was something to replace other means to do the same thing without offering anything more simple...

Coldfusion is gone. It never was very popular and its decreasing in use. Is there any websites that even use CF now?

Actually, my job's website uses CF. Alas, there's only one guy at work who knows how to use it, so we're kinda screwed if something happens to him.

A lot of e-commerce sites use ColdFusion for some reason, so I guess that explains why your job's site has it.
