In an effort to bring the CodeCall community closer together, we have decided to setup an IRC channel for your use. By connecting to the irc.codecall.net server and joining the #codecall channel you can meet other CodeCall members/moderators, discus the newest programming trends, or technology. Please note: The intent of this channel is not to serve as a hot line to answer questions that should be answered in these forums.
To join our server, you will need to download a client; Our moderators use xChat, mIRC, and BitchX, if you have any questions specific to these clients, feel free to ask and our moderators will respond [or see here: Podnet.org :: IRC NETWORK ]. If you have any questions regarding the server, join the PodNet help channel and an operator will assist you.We are considering installing an IRC client to the website, if you would like to see this feature, please let us know!/join #help
The following IRC commands should get you up and running:/server irc.codecall.netIf you have any questions or comments please post below. We look forward to chatting with you./join #codecall
Thanks,
John

Great to see the announcementSince I am always on the server, I hope to meet a few of you.
Trillian also supports IRC, I spent a lot of time writing tutorials for another site at Podnet.org :: IRC NETWORK. You may use this, just replace #rsnet with #codecall![]()
I downloaded the Xchat client but can't figure out how to use it![]()
Podnet.org - How to use Xchat I wrote this for anyone who needs it. I will be posting John's version for ubuntu on the site momentarily.

Finally. An announcement
Although, I didn't see any members.. yet. Only mods and admins.
Come on guys!!
So lonely! Come on guys, theres always someone there to chat with.
Do people get on this IRC channel much? I was on today and didn't see anyone for a while.
I try to get on in the mornings but hardly ever in the afternoons.
When I come on what should i set my nickname as, would it be best to have it as my username here?
Yeah if that's how you want people to refer to you, and if you want people to know that it is in fact you from the site.
