    --------------------------------------------------

    Chess by WingedPanther
Welcome to the CodeCall Double Elimination chess tournament! If you lose one match, you aren't out yet, you have to lose twice before you're eliminated. If you haven't seen the game between WingedPanther and Jordan, you can look at it at: http://forum.codecall.net/games/1445...vs-jordan.html. You have the choice to use the ASCII format presented there, or you can use a program such as Xboard/WinBoard to exchange a text file and view the game graphically (just attach a screenshot of the board).

    How to join?
Simply load this URL in your browser: http://forum.codecall.net/lounge/145...nt-anyone.html and state that you are willing to join. We need at least 2 more players before we can begin!

WingedPanther has volunteered to manage the ladder, and is ready for more! Can you take him down?

    Coders Battle by Amrosama
-are you tired of working on boring programming projects?
-do you want to test your skills among more professional programmers?
-do you have free time and want to improve your coding skills and have fun?

Then what are you waiting for, CodersBattle is a contest we do here at codecall.net periodically where members face puzzling and fun challenge they have to solve, in return you will earn 50 precious reputation points or 25 if you ended up second(the word on the streets says that there will be money this time).

    What language?

    Any language(programming language) you like

    Why would I join?
    Money and rep points.
beating others will make you feel good(at least I do).
winning the contest will help you take the challenge of new hard projects.
Some of the projects will require special techniques and approaches you may have never tried before.
    HAVE FUN!

    How can I join?
Click on this link: thread: Coder Battle #3: ASCII Encryption

Once there, reply stating that you are joining and what language you will be using. If we can get more than 10 submission, 1st place will receive a prize!

    How can I win?
Simple, your program must solve the problem proposed in the battle description.
you will get a long time to solve the challenge, don't rush and send your program too early, keep testing and improving it till no further improvements needed.
Don't cheat!.for example, If the contest is about sorting strings, don't use an already made class to sort it. This kind of stuff take away all the fun.
try to be creative and picky with your code to impress the judges.
Manipulate your enemies, everything is allowed in war!
hurry and join CodeCall.Net before the battle “return;”
-Don't raise your hopes because ill crush them.

Getting a high post count on CodeCall by Termana

Winning the last bounty, nearly winning one before (I would of only just lost, however Jordan mucked up the wording with it) and currently being in the lead for the current bounty and making around 2000+ posts in the last 3 weeks - I think I know how to get a good post count.

So how do I do it? One way, as many have seen from me, is it post a lot in the games section. Most of the games are Ask Me threads which will allow you to get to know everyone better.

Secondly, post when everyone else is on. I am mostly on when I'm not asleep so that helps me a lot. This is particularly true in the games section - you post and someone else can immediately post again, and you can then again post once more. This is better when you have 3+ people as you can slip more posts in - or at least try to.

Thirdly, help where ever you can. Although one and two are great, especially in helping build the community and getting to know everyone - a lot of people don't come here to socialize with others that have the same interest, they just come to get questions answered, and that is what the forum's topic is based on.

Following these, you can try to beat me, but unless your on all day like me - you'll never do it, you pansy!

    Re: CodeCall: April Newsletter, 09

its really really easy, but the way you do it must be better than the others to win
anyways, the source-codes will be released after the winner(me) is announced
