oh yeah, i totally forgot about the contest
heres the PM
yo homie i heard you like one-line codes so i put a one line code that evals a decrypted one line code that prints "i love one line codes"
www.amrosama.com | the unholy methods of javascriptCode:eval(base64_decode("cHJpbnQgJ2kgbG92ZSBvbmUtbGluZSBjb2Rlcyc7"));
It's not about how much you know, it's about sharing whatever you may know. I do a fair amount of research for my tutorials, and some for my blogs. I figure I should learn too![]()
Ideas for blogs (perhaps this should be a blog?).....
Create a Series - Such as WP's ADTs or Amrosama's OpenGL
Collation Posts - Research several blogs about the same topic and bring all thoughts together on one page linking to each blog and quoting text from the blogger. Put your own thoughts into the blog.
Predictions - Predict something to happen like "Visual Studio will die in 2010" and write why.
Debate - Excellent comment grabbers, debate something "PHP Sucks and this is why"
Hypothetical Posts - "What if" type posts such as "What if MS invited C++"
Rants - Just talk about how you feel about something
Comparison - Visual Studio vs. Delphi
Interviews - Interview someone and write about it
Lists - "25 reasons not to use Visual Basic", "10 reasons vim is better than notepad++"
Link Posts - Link to another blog wrapping your own thoughts around the blog article
And the two we see most on CC: Information and Instructional.
Thinking about the "types" of blogs can help you form great blog ideas.
Blogging is like programming... if you aren't doing it, you're just not trying!
I'm sure I've heard something like this before...
I'm thinking of a new bounty that will hopefully persuade someone to beat me. The only problem is that I have to exclude someone, and that would be Xav - sorry buddy.
Anyone that can beat me in post count I am willing to send $150.00 + 1 CC t-shirt + 1 Coffee or Travel mug. The rules:
You must beat me in post count for an entire 24 hour period. There is no neck and neck tie - you have to beat me. You can post ***** in the lounge, that is fine. You cannot spam (although I'm sure any spam will be caught before you beat me).
Anyone interested?
I believe he is talking about posts for a single day. Jordan posts in almost every thread daily (figure 20-30 posts as an example). His challenge is for someone to post more than he does. Ask questions in the Ask me threads, post tutorials, ask all those programming questions you've been storing up, etc.
phew
i have to post 10000 posts!!
can i post my posts like this:
post1:

Thanks for clearing that up WP. I was thinking that getting to 13,000 posts seemed, well... not right.
I was, indeed, speaking of beating my 13,000. It can be done - is anyone up tough enough to do it?
Nicckk - That was a good observation. It has been stated (in some books) that as much as 99% of Internet users are lurkers and will never contribute any content.
