Tutorial for rooting BlueStacks:
I Think you have to use the full package, not the light? (I did, anyway... )
If your having a problem where it just continues to load and never come up, DON'T enter anything for your GUID.
"BootParameters"="root=/dev/sda1 SRC=/android DATA=/dev/sdc1 SDCARD=/dev/sdd1 GUID= armApps=true GlMode=1 OEM=BlueStacks "
Once you have it up and running you need Root Explorer.
Start it up and go to /system and look for build.prop.
Before you open it click the MOUNT R/W - proceed editing the file by replacing the bluestack entries with actual phone model Identifiers, take a look at a build.prop from an android or AVD emulator to see what it should look like.
I looked at my own Galaxy Note as a reference. I didn't change much, just the bluestack entries and the ones that said something like virtual or emulator.
Go ahead and save it, Root Explorer should make a backup.
!!!!NOW FOR THE FUN PART!!!!!
Install RoB and Privacy Blocker. (follow the instructions for using PB http://gamecih.com/f...dpost__p__31703
These are my notes how to use it on Blue Stacks - I've tested this on two other computers. It crashes allot on all 3 !!!
1) Privacy blocker crashes ALLOT! (for me anyway.... You goto be Friggen QUICK with the Clicks once PB opens)
2) KEEP scanning (crash after crash) for apps till RoB shows up.
3) You can also move the PB icon (on the desktop) on or as close to where your RoB icon would be when you open up PB.
4) To get the app back to the original state - restart or reboot bluestacks. (it seems to open a bit slower when you reboot - giving that opportunity to get in that click and hold.
WHY PUT UP WITH THIS?
Because when you get routine down, bluestacks runs privacy blocker pretty fast, quicker than AVD. The scan, the patch, install, remove, backup; all of that faster than my phone.
Now gimme some rep
The above quote is for the below quote
I would at least like some guidance on what to do im drawing blanks here...
Read all of it. You need to modify the build.prop and change any thing bluestacks to something else (I changed it to Daytona, the code name for my x2)
