Chitika

I was just wondering if anyone uses Chitika. I heard that it pays the most per click, and people have made a lot of money from it. I've seen it, and the ad interface looks good, but it doesn't look like it would appeal to people. Has anyone had good experiences with it?

I applied back when it was getting a lot of buzz, but my site got rejected. I don't really care, because after the initial buzz, a lot of webmasters turned against Chitika because of the auditing. While the earnings looked like they would be pretty high in the beginning, after Chitika audited accounts, the earnings were reduced by quite a bit.

I thought Chitika was good too, I never knew about this auditing thing. Maybe that was their plan all along, let people make a lot of money so their program got popular, then do the audit thing. Tricky, tricky...

i heard about this, i believe someone i knew had it on his forum but his account got suspended for false clicks, don't know if they just do that or if he was doing false clicks.

Well basically every single person who makes decent money with their ad network program has some amount of false clicks, whether they tell people to click, people accidentally click, or people click because they want to give the webmaster money.

Its a great program except they audit you every month and some ppl have up to 80% of their earnings taken away.
Thats the downside to chitika.

Wow, 80%, that is a lot. I thought you were only audited if you did something suspicious? I doubt they have the manpower to audit everyone.

How does a company like chitika or even adsense audit you? What do they actually do ? Do they go through ip addresses or your member list?

I saw a website and I forgot the link though, which said Chitika sometimes cheat its publishers and close their accounts without reason and this can be bugs in the system or bugs in the company. lol
