Affiliate Sites

I'm interested in knowing if anyone makes a lot of money from selling software through affiliation. Anyone here do it?

I've often read about shareware sites making a ton of money from affiliate sales. I don't know personally how this stands up but I would imagine that you need a lot of visitors for anything to add up.

I use to have a shareware site a long time ago called grassheap.com - not sure if anyone has ever heard about it. I made about $5 a month from affiliate sales although it got around 1/2 million unique visitors each month. Most of the money I made come from selling ad space.

Only $5? That seems low compared to what some of the people have said they earn. I wonder how many are telling the truth.

i've found that the people that are the most successful at running websites fulltime will never be straightforward on how much they make
