What are you talking about? The way people use something does not effect it's actually versatility.

Example. A vehicle is capable of being used underwater and on land. However the owner only uses it on land. Does this change the fact that it can be used underwater. Of course it doesn't.

Versatility is defined by the language it's self, not by how people choose to use it.

I really don't feel like commenting on your last point, but I feel like I am propelled to. Obviously brainf*ck is not used for normal application purposes. It is a proof of concept, esoteric language, you code in brainf*ck because you want to challenge your mind, expand your intelligence.

So basically yeah.
