Default Google Click Tracker

Not a usual thing for me, but I'm starting to read. I was recently looking up some stuff little tidbits to increase my privacy between Google and any others out there documenting my IP or my search files. While looking for ways to stop google from documenting my searches I found out what their Click Tracker was and how it's used here: Block Google from Click Tracking Web Search Results at Digital Inspiration - Software Reviews, Internet and Technology Guide.

On that page, near the top, it's got a picture of a link and the URL redirect that Google uses to record the clicks. So to check it out, I wen to google, searched something random, but it didn't have the redirect code. That article was made last year, so I wanted to know whether Google still has a click tracker.

I know that it's not a big deal or anything, but I'd like to get as far away from Google as possible. And if some of my information is wrong, please tell me.
