I noticed that the version in the downloads says 1.4 while your post says that latest is 1.5.

Any clues?

Thanks
Are you running Joomla! on Windows? What version are you running?

Think you could help me? I'm using this to link to download mirrors and I've killed one mirror with bandwidth cuz I had it near the top I'd like to re-order the largest mirror to the top.
There is patch in a couple of posts back - Project: ionFiles - Joomla Simple File Download

The "ORDER BY" was missing in the front end at this release. This has been integrated and will be fixed in the next version.

However, when I try to access the component on the backend (logged-in as administrator) I get lots of errors and the browser displayes some kind of sourcecode instead of what i would expect.

I include a screendump as attachment.

Then after clicking 'Ok' a hundred times, it brings me back in the main Joomla admin screen.

Any clues how to resolve this?

This is very odd and I've never seen this error before nor do I know what is causing it. Have you changed anything? Try uploading the files using an FTP client instead of the Joomla! Installer.
